Peugeot, who also produce bicycles and pepper grinders built their first petrol powered car in 1889 and have been building cars and vans ever since.
In 1974 they purchased Citroen and have shared components between the ranges heavily ever since. In 2017 Vauxhall and Opel were purchased from General motors and the their ranges have also slowly moved over to Peugeot based architecture.
A merger in with 2021 Fiat Chrysler Automobiles which is now one of the largest car manufacturing conglomerates in the world with a total of 14 different brands under the umbrella company of Stellantis.
