Called the Toyota Hilux Surf in Japan and the UK, it was also sold in North America as the Toyota 4Runner.
While based on the chassis and powertrain of the Hilux. these cars had a unique fully enclosed steel body rather than the fibreglass canopy on a modified Hilux body found on the previous generation.
