Interface and ISO cables allowing use of original steering wheel control buttons with a new aftermarket radio head-unit.

This interface allows use of cars original steering wheel buttons including phone buttons with compatible aftermarket radios and head unit. As well as steering wheel controls the CANBUS interface provides a 12v ignition output, illumination and optional outputs to assist with more complex installs. This interface makes a basic install plug and play.

Suitable for multiple BMW and Mini models with a 40 pin quad lock connection at the back of the radio. These vehicles are mostly fitted with BMW Business style original radios on cars built from 2004 to 2015. The interface can also be set to run 'pre-ignition' so that the radio begins powering up when the door is opened by pressing the phone button for 10 seconds to enable or disable this feature.

Fitting note: Some BMW cars feature an Eco mode where the permanent 12v supply to the radio drops shortly after the car is turned off, and the memory on an aftermarket radio will be lost. On these cars the permanent 12v supply will need to be wired to the battery.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This product must be purchased with a suitable patch lead for the type of radio you are fitting. Please select the type of radio being fitted upon purchase to receive the correct parts. A universal option is available if you don't know what radio is being fitted yet, but it requires building as per the instructions provided with it.
