Fiat is an Italian car manufacturer that was founded in 1899 by a group of investors, including Giovanni Agnelli. The name “Fiat” stands for “Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino”, which translates to “Italian Automobile Factory of Turin”.

Over the years, Fiat has produced a wide range of vehicles, including compact cars, sports cars, and commercial vehicles. Some of the most notable models include the Fiat 500, the Fiat Panda, and the Fiat Punto.

Fiat has traditionally owned multiple Italian brands, including Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati and Ferrari before they merged with Chrysler to create Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in 2014 before another merger with the PSA group created Stellantis in 2021
