Lexus is Toyota’s luxury division originally formed in 1989 from a project build the worlds best car which arrived as the Lexus LS400. The Lexus project came to fruition just as Honda launched Acura and Nissan brought the Infiniti luxury marques to market.

Lexus was an instant hit with the specially designed car finding favour with US buyers. The range was soon rounded out with the smaller ES and the SC coupe joining the flagship LS.

While Lexus has managed to sell a wide range across the globe, it was only in 2005 that Lexus was sold as its own brand in Japan. Before 2005 they were sold as Toyotas, with their own model names.

Over the years, Lexus expanded its line up to include SUVs, hybrids, and high-performance vehicles and launched its F division with the ISF sports saloon. They continue to be known for very high quality luxury cars.
