This kit is for fitting an aftermarket car radio to Volkswagen Crafter 'Startline' and MAN TGE models which have a standard non-touchscreen Volkswagen Composition radio and no steering wheel controls. This is not suitable for 'Trendline' vans with original touch screen radios or vans with steering wheel controls.

While this kit can be used for single or double DIN installation, the space behind the dashboard on the Volkswagen Crafter does not suit double DIN installation due to internal mouldings for the dashboard and the ducts for the vents being in the way of the lower part of the chassis of a double DIN units with a chassis that is deeper than 55mm. We recommend fitting a unit with a single DIN chassis on the upper part of the radio. To fit a double DIN radio a cage with a height of 103mm is required but will require modification.

The included ISO cable includes an extension breakout Y cable which is run to the passenger footwell. This allows the original radio to be re-connected without having to remove the new radio if vehicle settings controlled by the original radio such as time and date or VSC on/off need to be changed. A CANBUS interface is included to power the new radio when ignition is on, avoiding the need to hardwire the power to the new head unit.

A single fakra FM antenna adapter is included.
