Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi have historically had ties with Chrysler throughout the 1970s, 80s and 90s with Chrysler marketing Mitsubishi products under the Dodge and Eagle brands.

In Australia, Mitusbishi took over Chryslers operations and produced some local models including the long running Magna and Verada, which was replaced with the 380 before Mitsubishi wound up the Australian operations.

A brief joint venture with Volvo in the mid 90s produced the Mitsubishi Carisma and Volvo S40 and V40 but did not last and since then Mitsubishis fortunes have been somewhat up and down.

Since 2015 Mitsubishi is now part of the Renault - Nissan - Mitsubishi Alliance with a range of rugged midrange vehicles. Cars with the premium Rockford Fosgate sound system are very difficult to change the radio on.

In 2020 Mitsubishi left the UK market due to poor sales.
