SsangYong
SsangYong is Korea's oldest automobile manufacturer and focuses the majority of their resources on SUVs.
In 1997 they were taken over by Daewoo with their cars re-badged as Daewoos, before being sold to SAIC in 2000 when Daewoo hit serious financial trouble.
After a very turbulent period they were sold to Mahindra in 2010 but after 10 years Ssangyong was still in debt and Mahindra cut funding to the ailing company and began looking for a buyer.
In 2023 they were bought by the KP Group and Ssangyongs official name was officially changed to KP Mobility.
