Rover
Once upon a time Rover had a reputation for quality cars that put it in a similar category to Jaguar, with cars offering class leading technology for safety and being used as transport for the Prime Minister.
Unfortunately a series of mergers left it as part of the infamous British Leyland where Rover quality declined at a rapid rate which only began improving in the 1980s when they stated working with Honda.
After a resurgence through a wide range of good quality products through the 1990s Rover was bought and then sold by BMW and with increasing money issues, folded in 2005 with an aged product range.
